Literature Text

A frost creeps white across the grass
and crunches underfoot;
and tendrils of a freezing mist
swirl everywhere I look.
The air is cold and crystalline,
it burns my teary cheek,
but deep within the coldest climes
remains the searing heat
of ardours born in seasons past
that through the long, dark winters last.

'Winter is coming. A lovely piece of poetry with great atmosphere - pretty, flowing, and just a touch of something haunting. The lines simply roll off the tongue with a good pace and natural rhymes.'
