Remember me

Will I endure?
Will my words resonate?
A syllable or simple phrase
penetrate
the lonely distance
of the empty space,
between unspoken
entwined fates?
Or, round the
vast, unbroken void
circumnavigate
and, uninvited,
displace some other
wretched face.
I'll leave this written
here, to wait –
a dark, mishapen inky trace:
a jagged stain
upon the page.
